Problem – solved

When Logfiles for IIS are configured to be held on the D: drive vs the default %SystemRoot%System32Logfiles.    When Logfiles were configured on the C: drive, things worked.  When Logfiles were on D: drive an error was raised File Can’t be read and a zero-byte zip file was created.

Solution

The problem is with the nsoftware.zip module that was being used inside of IISLogs to perform the zip routines.  We’ve been able to reproduce the problem and reported the error to www.nsoftware.com  We are evaluating other zip components, IISLogs has been repackaged to use ICSharpCode.zip library.  We’ve tested the scenerio above and the issues doesn’t exist.  Please re-download a new package to get the lastest beta bits.
