IIS team has made the URL Rewrite Module for IIS 7.0 Release To Web (RTW) available for download. This is a final, production-ready release that is officially supported by Microsoft.

    The main problem is, that it's hard to integrate the IIS7 Rewrite Module into development. We usually use the build-in Webserver Cassini for our development. There, we are not able to test the URL Rewriting, so it's hard to integrate it.

    I checked with the IIS team. Here is what I received. Looks like they have identified and there is some workarounds. Hope this helps,
