Configure Per Directory

This is a feature will handle files on a per directory basis.  This offers a lot of flexibility, this was introduced in IISLogs 2.0.

Directory Name – Specific folder or root directory to be processed.   If the recursive option is enabled, it will look for all folders below the starting directory.

Zip File Path – Specifies where the zipped file will be located.  The default value is ‘local’.

Zip file – Boolean value to determine if files are zipped.   Default value is False

Zip Retention Period – Length in hours how old a file is before zipped.  Default value is zero (0).

Delete Retention Period – Length in hours how old a file is before deleted. This value has to be at least 1 hour older than Zip Retention Period when using the two features together.   Default value is zero (0).

Recursive – This will have IISLogs look for sub-folders below starting root folder(s).

Include Sub Folders – This option determines if the root folder files are included when files are processed.

Include ComputerName – This option is only used when storing files on a remote UNC share.  It adds the local computer name as a folder to help separate many computers storing log files on a remote file server.

Process Unknown Exts – This is a new feature introduced in IIS Logs 2.0.  It is designed to handle unknown or custom file extensions.  This can be useful when 3rd party programs use their own custom naming convention.  Critical system file extensions are not processed.

ProcessTXT – This setting handles zipping .TXT files – Default value is False

ProcessBAK – This setting handles zipping .BAK files – Default value is False

ProcessDAT – This setting handles zipping .DAT files – Default value is False

ProcessXML – This setting handles zipping .XML files – Default value is False

Apply All – If selected, this option applies this value to all entries for that specific column.  This is available on configurable options.
